Mrs. Voultepsi confirmed that for transnational agreements concerning the migration of workers to Greece, there is ongoing negotiation with several countries, such as Egypt and India.
“An interstate agreement to work needs a lot of time … with India we are at a very advanced stage, it is very interested, just as Greece is interested. With Egypt, too. There are countries like the Philippines in our mind. They are countries we do port calls from anyway, just not in bulk. They are done based on a list of the Ministry of Labor, which allows a certain number of people to enter the country for various professions”, as he noted.
