AVM Aurangzeb Ahmed, DG Warfare & Strategy, Pakistan Air Force called on General Atilla Gulan, Commander Turkish Air Force on the sidelines of International Defence Industry Fair 2023 in Istanbul today and conveyed CAS PAF, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu’s message.
In a separate meeting AVM Nadeem Akhtar Khan, Chairman Pakistan Aeronautical Complex, Kamra also called on Commander TurAF. During the meetings issues related to mutual defence collaboration and co-developement potential between the two strategic partners were discussed.
Commander Turkish Air Force appreciated CAS’ vision and smart inductions carried out by Pakistan Air Force on its path to modernization. During the discussion, DG W&S said that Pakistan and Turkiye enjoy longstanding religious, cultural and historical bonds which are manifested through strong ties between both the countries. He reiterated Air Staff’s resolve to enhance the existing cooperation with Turkiye in the fields of defence production, security and training by capitalizing on the respective strengths of each side.
He also appreciated the Turkish defence production sector which has made exceptional progress over the last few years.
