The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) on Thursday released its annual operations report for 2025, claiming it carried out 521 attacks across Balochistan and that these operations resulted in the deaths of more than 1,060 Pakistani military personnel.

The report, titled Dhak, includes infographics, photographs and detailed descriptions of the group’s activities, which the BLA says were conducted as part of its campaign against what it calls the “occupying Pakistani army, its collaborators, military installations and agents.”

The group said its fighters “defeated the enemy on many fronts” and conducted “systematic operations” throughout the year. It claimed more than 556 personnel and informants were injured in various attacks.

The BLA also said it killed 75 alleged informants, including individuals it claimed were arrested during raids and “sentenced to death” by the “Baloch National Court.”

According to the report, the BLA conducted 15 special operations in 2025 — four by its Majeed Brigade, six by the Fateh Squad and five by the Special Tactical Operations Squad (STOS). The group said its intelligence wing, known as Zirab (Zypher Research and Analyses Bureau), played a central role in identifying targets and planning attacks.

The report said BLA fighters carried out 212 explosions, including 112 improvised explosive device (IED) attacks, and destroyed 215 military vehicles and motorcycles, 35 quadcopters and surveillance drones, seven communication and surveillance towers, and three railway tracks.

The group claimed to have seized 208 weapons from Pakistani forces and their collaborators, and said its fighters took control of 48 locations, including military camps, police and Levies stations, and the towns of Zehri, Manguchar, Surab, Mastung and Panjgur.

It also said its fighters established more than 42 highway blockades across Balochistan and detained 366 “agents”, including members of Pakistan’s armed forces.

The BLA said the Majeed Brigade carried out four operations involving ten “fidayeen.” These operations included the hijacking of the Jaffar Express in Bolan during the second phase of Operation Darra-e-Bolan, in which the group said hundreds of military personnel on board were taken into custody. It said convoys carrying Pakistani forces in Nushki, Turbat and Dasht were also targeted by the Majeed Brigade.

It said the Fateh Squad and STOS conducted 11 additional operations, including the takeover of Zehri and Manguchar and attacks in Nushki, Kalat and Quetta, which it claimed resulted in the deaths of several senior officers.

According to the report, 72 BLA fighters were killed in 2025, including 11 members of the Majeed Brigade, whom the group described as having “attained martyrdom”.

The BLA concluded by saying it would continue its operations “with greater intensity until the enemy is forced to completely withdraw from Balochistan.”

There was no immediate response from Pakistani authorities at the time of publication.
