Since the inception of Pakistan as an independent entity in international arena. The country has been in the strong grip of unfortunate outcomes due to its failed execution of policies. The strategic location of the country play’s pivotal role in socio-economic uplifting, yet, faces enormous socio-political instability in its territorial jurisdiction among institutions and administrations. The entity is composed of particularly five federating units with its independent set of administrations with accountability before the center on primacy issues, such as, gross violation of human rights and other lethal issues that possibly could affect the lives of the inhabitants, foremost. Cross border terrorism, high inflation rate, instable political structure are unfortunately the outcomes of civil-military and political tensions. The persisting issues regarding Tirah valley operation created chaos and disruption between federal, federating unit and military.
Certainly, Islamabad is engulfed with socio-security and economic issues. The ladder of tensions and issues is prevailing in different part of the country, particularly, its federating unit Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The CM of the province resisted the political-military decision of launching operation into the region with grave and unpredictable consequences for the people of the Tirah, he predicted. He further expressed his concerns over the displacement of the inhabitants becoming an internal displaced people in their own mother land and would not be allowed and acceptable at any cost. The disagreement surfaced by federal ministers against the statement of the chief minister that residents have not been displaced with inadequate facilities. The officials stated that people of the valley have been facilitated to the best of central’s effort and operation is being considered in very particular area of the valley.
However, the normal live of the people has already been endangered with severe cold weather on the valley and another grand military operation would drag the situation further in crises, the CM added. Men, Women and elderly men would never be able to make it for 110 Km lengthy road. The federal government, according to present circumstances formed centers in Bara region, where, the displaced inhabitants shall be registered with their families and all living logistical welfare shall be provided, claims the government.
Unfortunately, the hard areas of Pakistan “Balochistan and KP’ which plays strategically significant role in country’s socio-economic boost faces enormous socio-security challenges. The ratio of military operations against militants and insurgents, suicide attacks, unemployment, high inflation rate still persists but the extremism by outlaws are not yet ended completely and hopes for future remained under the shadow, since decades. The civil-military and political relations needs to be transparent and adhered in order to overcome this prevailing curse, it’s a matter of nation’s security, and prosperity. They must work jointly against cross border terrorism and economic uplifting by taking federating units into its consideration without asserting any pressure. Further mishaps shall result in grave consequences and it would be beyond repair. As Pakistan currently facing political challenges even far across the border, diplomatically and politically.
Islamabad has recently signed a board of peace initiated by the US president Trump to redevelop the lives Palestinians which has been severely turned into miseries by Israel’s nonstop aggression. In this case, the Pakistan’s premier attention is significantly required to be shifted upon the poor people of Tirah and other suffering regions, irrespectively. The voices of poor must not go unheard. In this inclement weather the poor people, pregnant ladies and elderly men would never be able to have choice and inhale the life other their own homes in this harsh weather. Therefore, a very calculated and rationale moves are expected to act upon.
In a nutshell, Pakistan has been in the strong grips of terrorism, inflation, political instability and diplomatic fall back. Therefore, the center needs to revise its inter-intra policies for the betterment and uplifting of the inhabitants of country. Such reconsideration might not be sufficient for peace and harmony but it would be definitely enough to transform the civil-military and political structure with productive outcomes in the region and for its people. Therefore, the state and its institutions need to realize the rationale of such policy-outcomes which shall be more lethal if not addressed properly with keen focus of civil-military relations.
