Indian Navy’s Kolkata class destroyer ship INS CHENNAI made a Port Call at Souda Bay, Greece from 27 to 29 July strengthening the Maritime & Defence Cooperation between the Indian and Hellenic Navy. Call on at the Hellenic Naval Base and visit to the Hellenic Maritime Museum, Chania were also undertaken by the Ship crew.

The crew laid wreath at the Commonwealth Souda Bay Memorial paying homage to the fallen Indian soldier during World War II as part of the British Forces that fought in Crete.
