Greece and India are now getting closer geopolitically and militarily!
Indian General Anil Chauhan met with Themistocles Bourolia, Chief of the Air Staff.
Matters of mutual interest were discussed there, for cooperation between the two countries and how Greece will utilize India’s defense industry.
For 1.5 years now, the Greek Government has been actively promoting the new regional axis of cooperation with India, with the GEETHA taking action to deepen the military cooperation of the two countries.
Initially we had the Indian Air Force (IA) echelon repositioning at Andravida Air Base for refueling on March 27. Both countries did not miss the opportunity to confirm their ties, since on the occasion of the presence on Greek soil, 2 F-4E Fighter Aircraft of the PA conducted joint training with Mirage 2000 aircraft of the Indian PA.
Then, following the actions of the GEETHA and the GEA, the close cooperation of the Armed Forces of the two countries was sealed, with the participation of the Indian Air Force for the first time in the Multinational Exercise “HINOCHOS 23” with Su-30 Aircraft, which took place from 24 April to 05 May 2023.
