A 28-year-old Pakistani man, who was arrested in Crete on charges of attempting to abduct and seduce a minor, apologized to the investigator today.
According to cretapost.gr, last Friday the 28-year-old approached two underage girls who were in a park in the area of the municipality of Phaistos, and told them to go home, to give them… candies and other sweets! But the two girls, aged 7 and 13, got scared and ran to their parents. After being told what had happened, their father immediately went to the local police station and reported the incident.
The 28-year-old was located by the police and, after being recognized by the two girls, he was arrested and brought before the prosecutor who prosecuted him for attempted sexual intercourse with a minor for a fee and attempted abduction of minors.
Following his apology today, the Pakistani was released on parole pending trial.
