    Rajesh Kumar, a Hindu businessman from Kashmore, was abducted by armed assailants on January 26, 2025. The kidnappers have demanded 25 acres of land as ransom for his release, highlighting the growing insecurity and danger faced by minority business owners in the region.

    On January 24, 2025, Ghansham Meghwar, a Hindu teacher in Umerkot, was assaulted by two individuals, Majid Samoon and Abdul Khaliq Samoon, at the office of the Taluka Education Officer. The attack is part of a broader pattern of violence against members of the Hindu community.

  11. Abduction and Forced Conversion of Minor Hindu Girl Pooja
    On January 23, 2025, Pooja, a minor Hindu girl, was abducted and forcibly converted to Islam by Muhammad Khan Kapri in Kot Ghulam Muhammad. This act of coercion was followed by her marriage to the abductor, further exemplifying the risks faced by young Hindu girls in the region.
  12. Armed Robbery of Hindu Family Near Karachi
    On January 20, 2025, the family of Sauraj Kumar Malhi, a Hindu journalist, was attacked by armed robbers on their way to a pilgrimage in Hinglaj Mata. The robbers stole significant amounts of cash and valuables, leaving the family traumatized.

  14. Discovery of the Body of Saroop Chand Meghwar
    On January 17, 2025, the body of Saroop Chand Meghwar, a young Hindu man, was found hanging from a tree in Kot Ghulam Muhammad. His body showed signs of prolonged exposure, and it is suspected that he was murdered.
  15. Mass Conversion of Hindus in Sindh
    On January 5, 2025, reports surfaced of at least 50 individuals from ten Hindu families converting to Islam in Sindh, raising concerns about the forced conversions and the broader treatment of minority communities in the region.

These incidents, spanning various forms of violence, abduction, and exploitation, underscore a disturbing trend of abuse and discrimination against Pakistan’s Hindu minority. As these issues continue to mount, there are growing calls for the government to take immediate and decisive action to protect these communities and ensure justice for the victims.
