The two Pakistanis accused of planning a terrorist attack on the Jewish restaurant in Psirri went to prison.
The two Pakistanis accused of joining and forming a terrorist organization were remanded in custody with the agreement of the investigator and the prosecutor.
In their apologies, the two men maintained that they are innocent and denied the charges.
In fact, their lawyer, Heraklis Stavaris, argued that the second defendant agreed to participate in the terrorist attack because he was receiving threats: “The two defendants pleaded not guilty. One had nothing to do with the incident, he was just an assistant. The second claimed that what he did in this case was under threat to his life and that of his family in Pakistan,” said their lawyer.
The two defendants, of Pakistani origin, aged 27 and 29, pleaded guilty to forming and joining a terrorist organization, an offense which is a felony.
